terms and conditions for miss kali tattoos in-person tattoo sessions

deposits

to confirm a booking, a non refundable deposit of 50% of the total price is requested. the deposit will come off the total price of the tattoo.

cancellations

cancellations made up until 7 days prior to the session can transfer the deposit to a new booking.

for cancellations made within 7 days to the session the deposit will be forfeited and a new deposit has to be paid to make a new booking.

if however, i caroline // miss kali tattoos need to cancel your session at any time, regardless of reason, you are fully entitled to having your deposit refunded through a bank transfer, should i not be able to find another timeslot for you.

no-shows

for no shows, the deposit will be forfeited and you cannot make a new booking again.

being late to an appointment

if more than 10 min late, your booking may be cancelled and deposit forfeited.

guest spots

when booking a session at guest spots, you acknowledge that in the event of you as the client wishing to reschedule or cancel the booked session, regardless of reason at any time after the payment of deposit, the deposit will be forfeited due to limited spaces during the period of the guest spot. if however, i caroline // miss kali tattoos need to cancel your session regardless of reason, you are fully entitled to having your deposit refunded through a bank transfer, should i not be able to find another timeslot for you.

you also understand that should your tattoo need touch up, this might not be possible. this is due to your tattoo needing to be fully healed before getting a touch up and due to the short duration of the guest spot and/ or limited availability, the touch up therefore may result in complications such as, but not limited to, infection and scar tissue. you thereby acknowledge and understand that should a touch up be needed, you might need to transport yourself to a destination other than the one you were tattooed at. should this not be possible for you, you accept waiting times in the case i plan to return to the guest spot studio at another given time, which i may not know at the time of you enquiring about the touch up.

18+ only

i, as the client confirm that i am 18 years of age or older. i understand that caroline // miss kali tattoos reserves the right to ask for ID or to refuse to tattoo. in this case of you being underage, the deposit will be forfeited.

designs and time frames

prior to booking in the session, i always tell you the amount of time i have set aside. if you change the size or motive after the session has been booked to the point where i find it unrealistic to make it within the given time frame, i reserve the right to cancel the appointment and your deposit will be forfeited. should you have changes to the design or wish to change the motive entirely, please let me know at least 72 hrs prior to your appointment.

unless specified, offers, deals and promotions cannot be combined with/ used on already price-reduced services.

allergies and health conditions

by booking an appointment, you acknowledge that you have clarified any allergies or health conditions that might affect the result of the tattoo in writing on either my instagram or email contact@misskalitattoos.com. i will always recommend you seeing a doctor if in doubt about the tattoos effects on your health. should an allergic reaction or health condition happen post tattoo session, and an allergy and/ or health condition has not been clarified to me in written form on the above stated platforms, i am not to be held responsible for the outcome of the tattoo.

refunds

under no circumstances does caroline // miss kali tattoos offer refunds on any services including gift vouchers.

legalities

when booking a tattoo session, you as the client give consent to me caroline // miss kali tattoos to perform a tattoo and in consideration of doing so, you therefore agree to the following statements

✤ i hereby give consent to caroline // miss kali tattoos to perform a tatoo and in consideration of doing so, i hereby release the tattoo studio and caroline // miss kali tattoos from all manner of liabilities, claims, actions and demands in law or in equity, which i or my heirs might now or hereafter by reason of complying with my request to be tattooed.

✤ i understand that caroline // miss kali tattoos when performing a tattoo do not act in the capacity of a medical professional. the suggestions made by caroline // miss kali tattoos or any of her ccolleagues at any of the studios she might work in, are suggestions and are not to be construed as, or substituted for advice from a medical professional.

✤ i willingly submit to these procedures with a full understanding of possible complications such as but not limited to infection, allergic reaction or rejection of the ink.

✤ neither caroline // miss kali tattoos or the studios she might work at are responsible for the meaning of or spelling of the symbol that i have provided or chosen.

✤ i understand that there is a chance i might feel lightheaded or dizzy during or after being tattooed, and i agree to immediatly notify caroline // miss kali tattoos in the event i feel lightheaded or dizzy during or after being tattooed.

✤ i understand that i will be tattooed using appropriate techniques, instruments and pigments to ensure proper healing is complete. i understand that a tattoo may take 2 weeks or longer to heal.

✤ i understand fine line tattooing can be a two step process. i understand that i may need a touch up appointment around the 6-8 week mark after my tattoo is healed.

✤ i understand and hereby assume full responsibility for aftercare and cleanliness. i understand that by having this tattoo performed that i am making a permanent change to my body and no claims have been made regarding the ability to undo the changes made.

✤ i had the opportunity to ask questions and i am satisfied with the answers. all equipment during the process was opened in front of me. i witnessed the disposal of the tattoo needle(s) into regulated sharps containers. aftercare instructions were provided to me.

touch ups

a touch up within 8 weeks of the initial appointment should the tattoo need it once it has healed suffice there is ink missing - not if the tattoos heal lighter as this is expected and completely normal. please note this doesn’t include high traffic areas like fingers, hands, feet, neck and ears which will be 150 dkk // 30 aud. please read the following of high traffic areas and expected healing:

✤ why hand, neck and feet tattoos may not last ✤

tattoos on the hands and feet as well as neck and behind the ear are known to fade faster and may not hold up as well over time compared to tattoos on other parts of the body. This is due to several factors:

1. skin thickness and texture

the skin on the neck, hands and feet is different from other areas. It is generally thicker / more delicate and has more creases and folds, which can cause the ink to spread or fade unevenly. hand tattoos are more prone to fading and not lasting as long as tattoos on other parts of the body because the skin on the hands regenerates faster due to the high amount of use and exposure to elements like sunlight and frequent washing. this constant renewal of skin cells can cause the tattoo ink to break down more quickly, leading to fading over time.

2. constant use and friction

the neck, hands and feet are subjected to constant use and friction. everyday activities such as washing hair/ hands, wearing shoes, and walking can cause the tattoo to wear down more quickly.

3. exposure to elements

hands, neck and feet are more exposed to elements like water, sunlight, and chemicals, which can contribute to the fading of the tattoo.

✤ touch up policy of high traffic areas ✤

due to the unique challenges associated with the above mentioned areas, touch-ups may be necessary to maintain the appearance of your tattoo. please note that touch-ups are not included in the initial cost of the tattoo. each touch-up session will be charged at a rate of $30. by booking an appointment of a tattoo in the above mentioned areas, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the information provided above, and you agree to the touch-up policy.
